ABOUT ME

Hi there! I’m Dean Vickary, a passionate gamer, and a computer software engineer. I’ve been a software engineer for around five years now, so my life revolves around all things tech-related, both for my work and hobbies so it comes as no surprise to those who know me that I created a gaming blog to talk all about it. I enjoyed reading gaming journalist reviews when I was younger and decided I needed to formulate my own opinions into a tangible blog space. 

The name, Astranaut, (and yes, it is supposed to be spelt like that!) came from my love of space, notably due to being a massive Star Wars fan. So, I wanted to create an “out-of-this-world” blog for like-minded gamers who wanted to read non-biased content about all things gaming related, including streaming and even comic recommendations. It doesn’t matter if you’re new to the gaming sphere or have been an avid player for years like me, there is truly something for everyone. 

In my teenage years, I would spend hours playing the latest games and can appreciate just how much technology has evolved. I also enjoyed collecting and reading comics, and have built up quite an extensive collection.
